The Sheriff board overseas and commands Los Angeles Sheriff's Office. Their duty is to keep law in order. Make sure every leadership member remains professional and follow policy and conduct.
Sheriff - Is the highest rank in the Los Angeles Sheriff's Office. Sheriff holds full responsibility and accountability of any actions taken place, Following with approval on any conduct.
The Undersheriff - Sheriff's Right-hand man/woman help assist and decide the sheriff's and sheriff's board suggestions or operational projects. Both Sheriff and Undersheriff grants perms for anything that could or could not be permissioned.
Assistant Sheriff - 3rd highest command in the rank structure. Assistant with divisons, patrol, Internal Affairs and/or Hicom matters. The position Assistant Sheriff is only given for probably causes.
Chief - The position Chief is 4th in command. This role/position gives orders of both the Internal Affairs Teams and decides to feather the situation is or is not reasonable of all ticket relating Deputy Report's or Infraction/Blacklist appeals.
Deputy Chief - Assist Chief and above to handle deputy and command conducts. They help assist high command with situations. The position Chief is a very high role to be placed at. And it endorses your professionalism and courage to earn it.
Area Commander - Overseas Divisions and patrol unit's progress. Assist and help with reports of any sort. This rank holds certain but rightful power to command High ranks and below this role coordinates personal within LASD and assist the Deputy Chief.
Senior Captain & Captain - Both ranks are similair and holds the same power. The position captain handles and assist with any rank below them and assist the Area Commander whenevr requested. However, The Senior Captain holds a little more power to endorse. They are granted no permission when talking in tickets related for certain reasons, And help with patrol and sub-observe divisons and units within LASD. These two ranks overview ranks below preformance, and progress.
Senior Lieutenant & Lieutenant - Their job is to supervise Supervisory and below and follow protocol of any order. Lieutenants are also a part of the Internal Affairs team; they decide on situations and other major problems with supervisory reasons. They also observe any and every sergeant's and below progress.
Senior Sergeant & Sergeant - Both Senior Sergeant and Sergeant Supervise and lead patrol units, they manage personal task by assigning task and patrol locations within L.A county, Coordinate Day-to-day task/operations, Responding to incidents or supervisor request calls.
Being a sergeant holds up the highest standards and first introduction from Senior Deputy Sheriff.
Low Ranks - All Low ranks from Senior Deputy Sheriff to Probationary Deputy are required to follow orders by Supervisors and High ranks. Being a deputy and Low rank of the department gives you different sets of duty's and how to use them properly. Ranks from Senior Deputy Sheriff to Deputy Sheriff I is one step closer to each rank which requires improvement but also refines itself being capable to unlock different requirements within LASD. All rank is also capable in other things that you will see along the way within LASD and your service being one.
Probationary - After passing your application and training your required to set a callsign, Read infomation and conduct a ridealong withe Field Training Officer or any Supervisor thats available.
Deputy Sheriff Trainee - Joining the department and applying for the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department. After you applied for LASD you can/could conduct a training with any Field Trainer.
